‘Requiem’ by Eliza Gilkyson:
Singer/songwriter Eliza Gilkyson wrote Requiem as a song of grief following the Asian tsunami in December 2004, and the song found a renewed audience after Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast region. It is now widely performed as a prayer for disaster victims worldwide. The Seattle Choral Company dedicates their first virtual choir recording to the victims of the current COVID-19 pandemic.
